Participation in the regatta is open to everyone - no yachting experience is required!
We welcome single participants, couples, and assembled corporate crews.
REGISTRATION
Racing fleet: Archambault Grand Surprise sailing yachts, up to 6 crew.

Start and finish in Doca de Alcântara, Lisbon.
Anyone can take part in the regatta. For corporate clients, special conditions of participation.
Each yacht has a professional skipper (captain from the yacht club), or you can put your own skipper.

Registration of participants. General briefing in the Mercedes-Benz Oceanic Lounge.

Participating teams take to the water. Role assignment, training in teams

Training races in teams, practising manoeuvres, working with sails

Scoring races by distance, team competition

Return of yachts to the base, awarding of crews
PARTICIPATION FEE

Single participation: 200€ per person

Sailing is the real deal. It is a new, prestigious and effective format for both personal participation and corporate team building. It's character, leadership, passion and crazy energy.

All participants must be at the registration before 10:00. If you plan to have breakfast, change clothes and take photos, it is recommended to arrive 30 minutes before the start of registration.

Conditions of participation
Please note this information if you intend to participate. We care about your health and safety
  • Age
    You must be at least 16 years of age to enter the regatta.
  • Health
    By registering for the regatta you confirm that you have no acute health problems
  • No alcohol
    You may not participate in the regatta while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • No propaganda
    Any political propaganda, including flags and slogans, is prohibited at the regatta
  • Refund
    If you register for the regatta and cancel 15 days prior to the start, the cost is non-refundable
  • Latecomers
    Participants who are late for the start briefing for more than 30 minutes will not be allowed to start

  • Question:
    Is experience required to participate in the regatta?
    Answer:
    No experience is required. There will be professional skippers on the yachts who will train you, explain the basics of sailing races and work together to lead the crew to victory
  • Question:
    I am a skipper myself, can I participate in the regatta as a skipper?
    Answer:
    Yes, if you have a team or potential audience to offer participation to, we recommend taking the whole yacht. The yacht can accommodate up to 7 people together with the skipper. In this case you will not need a hired skipper and you will save money
  • Question:
    Where can I practice beforehand?
    Answer:
    Contact us at the Sail Portugal community and ask about upcoming training sessions. We organise both individual and team training sessions in advance of the LISBON CUP regatta
